My earliest childhood memories sparkle with the magic of the wild life in the Blue Ridge mountains. So much song, rhythm and the sheer joyous vibration of life, ever changing and dancing with the sun, the moon and the stars. Inhaling the intoxicating scents of my concocted honeysuckle, rose and lilac perfumes, it never occurred to me that there would be those who would never appreciate such grandeur, let alone those who would seek to destroy it.
